Associates Fellows

Associates fellows of IMéRA

Objectives :

With the Associate and Senior Fellows, IMéRA is pursuing two main objectives. First of all, it aims at reinforcing the university-based function of the institute by enriching and enlarging the set of interactions with Aix-Marseille university's entities and giving them a formal framework. Second, and not less importantly, the two fellowships are instrumental to developing the institute as a research center, and not only as a host for international residents. We briefly describe here below the role of each type of fellowships in these new dynamics.

Associate Fellows :

Associate fellows (AF) are appointed for a one-year term (renewable). Are eligible to AF researchers involved in at least one of these three tasks: 1.Organizer or co-organizer of one of the annual IMéRA research cycles 2.Head of an active IMéRA research group/team 3.Participation in the elaboration of a project (for ERC grants for example) or research initiative (strategic partnership building or highly relevant timely international event for example) with IMéRA as a major stakeholder Associate fellows may be local (AMU and partners) or external (for example, former fellows). AFs are entitled to full IMéRA logistic and staff support. IMéRA will take care of the lodging of AFs not residing in the area during their missions (up to 2 weeks).
