FIAS (French Institutes for Advanced study), of which IMéRA is a member, laureate of the CONFUND european program

FIAS - French Institutes for Advanced Study – is one of the laureates of the 2019 call for the European COFUND program as part of the Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions. The joint application, prepared and carried by the RFIEA foundation (French Network of Institutes for Advanced Study), brought together the four Institutes for advanced study of Aix-Marseille (IMéRA), Lyon, Montpellier and Paris. The application requested co-funding for 120 10-month grants for scientific residencies in one of the four partner institutes, IMéRA requesting co-funding for 60 months. The funding obtained from the European Commission amounts to € 3.7m for the period 2020-2025, it will therefore make possible to co-finance the recruitments requested.

Such a European success – to be added to that obtained within the framework of the Investments for the Future French program - testifies to the excellence of the scientific attractiveness devices developed at each of the four sites. It also makes justice to the tenacious and very high-quality coordination work carried out by the RFIEA foundation.
