Fulbright-IMERA Award in Migration Studies

The Fulbright/IMéRA chair is open to experienced American researchers on all themes related to migration dynamics.

Application for this chair is open until September 15, 2022. It is made on a dedicated site of the Fulbright commission: follow the link

Located within the Institute for Advanced Studies (IMERA) of the University of Aix-Marseille (France) and integrated into its scientific program "Necessary Utopias", the "Migration Studies" Chair is a platform for reflection on modes of governing international migration and on the plural driving forces that have shaped and consolidated them in time and space. One of the major objectives of the Chair is precisely to open up the analysis of migration issues in order to discover a link of continuity between the conditions of migrants and non-migrants.

The holder of the Fulbright-IMERA Chair will conduct research in any discipline related to migration studies for a period of 6 to 10 months. They will also co-supervise the "migration studies" research cycle with other international and local fellows at IMERA.
