Resident commitments

The resident accepts the charter of the Institute that involves several commitments including :

1. Residency and Presence Obligation

Each guest researcher undertakes to remain at IMéRA to carry out their work for the whole duration of their stay. This obligation does not preclude occasional absences. Absences under one week and with a total duration not exceeding 10% of the stay should simply be made known to the Management. Longer absences must be approved by IMéRA’s management. All absences must be reported in advance.

In this context, residents freely organize their activities and work schedules.

2. Contribution to IMéRA Events

Residents undertake to contribute to the cross-disciplinary meetings and debates taking place at IMéRA during their stay.

They take an active part in the residents’ weekly seminar, as well as in the scientific activities of the chosen programme

3. Residents’ Lunch

To foster interaction between residents, communal meals are organised by IMéRA’s management, usually on Thursdays. Residents commit themselves to taking part in those meals for the duration of their stay. Residents’ absences from lunches must remain exceptional and should be made known to the management at least one week in advance.
